My name is David Cornelius and I have been interested in art ever since my grandmother introduced me to its creative freedom as a teenager.
I have not had any formal training but the passion to be creative has stayed with me throughout my life. Now retirement has given me the oppotunity to spend a lot more time to put to use, those things that my grandma's enjoyment for the craft instilled in me.I have in my home some of her work in oils, that was probably painted 100 years ago, that still inspires me to this day.
As a local artist my interest is creating paintings inspired by the land and sea around me.
I mainly work with acrylics using bold colour and flow techniques.
