Popeye Colour Reduction Linocut by Christine Davis
ARTIST NOTES: Print on paper. Signed and numbered on the front. Popeye is a six-color reduction linocut created from a reference photo I took while going on the sightseeing Popeye cruise on the Torrens River in Adelaide. The Popeye is a heritage icon of Adelaide that takes you past the Festival Center, SAHMRI building, Adelaide University, beautiful parklands, and more. I have also painted a watercolor painting from the same image. This is edition 1 out of 3. The print is framed with white frame and border ready to hang.

CHRISTINE DAVIS ARTIST BIOGRAPHY
Christine began to pursue her passion for creating art by participating in mixed media and drawing classes at the Victorian Artist Society in Melbourne. During this time, she created many watercolor paintings and several drawings which were shown in exhibitions. She later enrolled for the diploma of Visual Arts at Victoria University where she was introduced to painting in oils and printmaking. Christine and her family moved to Adelaide in 2020 where she transferred her art study to the Adelaide College of the Arts and completed the diploma of Visual Arts. She is now participating in art classes at Splashout Studios and occasional workshops at the Adelaide Art Society to continue to extend her skills. Christine is developing her own unique style of fine art using oils, watercolour, and pencils and recently purchased a printing press so is adding prints to her work. She now exhibits her artworks in various exhibitions in Adelaide. Christine's art is her way of revealing the beauty around us. ‘Your artwork has made me think about landscapes differently’ quote from the viewer.
